DTLA HotSpot: Poketo

I love the Arts District. In the years I've been a DTLA resident, this neighborhood has gotten cooler and cooler and is now ready to jump the shark of cool and just combust.

It's one of the most rapidly evolving areas of downtown Los Angeles, and it makes my heart happy.

So when C jr and I realized we had a free afternoon, we tucked S jr into the Doona and headed out to

Poketo

I have been a fan of this now flagship shop for years. It is a go-to for me for gifts for all people, all ages. I've taken one of their workshops and loved it. Workshops are now held at the Poketo store inside The Line Hotel in Koreatown, and if you want to chill out in one of the awesome rooms after your class, you can use the code POK3515 to get a special Friends & Family rate from Poketo.

The shop itself is wonderfully curated with a little bit of everything for house, home and self.

C jr and I both flitted, magpie-like, to this shiny copper kettle.

Only in LA does this makes sense but it is truly statement of love.

Isn't C jr the cutest? Loves Corey's ties. And that shirt – we saw it and had to have it.

Hee hee my sneaky selfie...

I always love exploring the children's section...and can totally imagine S jr riding this. Hell, I can imagine myself riding this.

I had a small freakout over this little wooden animal set. Although let's be real –  choking hazard, amiright? Possibly for people up to the age of 30. So that means I could just buy it for myself. Maybe I will.

Always cool art on display...

Love these friendly containers. Put a little succulent in that from the Flower District - boom, amazing gift.

Thanks, Poketo, for always being full of stuff we love and want! You continue to be one of my favorite destinations in the Arts District.
